Education Assistance Programme
- Vietnam -
We provide scholarships to children whose families are otherwise unable to afford schooling through our Education Assistance Programme. Over the past 12 years we have provided support to around 350 students each year at primary through to university level.
The goal of the Programme is to support underprivileged children from poor families who are at high risk of dropping out of school due to financial difficulties. Children from poor families face difficult obstacles each day as their parents struggle to cover the household’s daily expenses. Many families can no longer afford to keep their children in school at all.
The financial support we provide to our children covers school related expenses and university fees. The Education Assistance Programme offers scholarships to eligible students from Ho Chi Minh City and also from poor rural provinces in the Mekong Delta region.
We also provide additional student support where we identify it as relevant in the form of career counseling, life skills training, and the provision of computer, laptops and bicycles.
