Sunshine School
- Vietnam -
Our Founder, Christina Noble called the street
children of Ho Chi Minh City her ‘Sunshine Children’. Yellow Christina says, is
her favourite colour: “bright, bold, sunshine yellow.”
We established our Sunshine School to provide primary education to street children and children from underprivileged families. Our students range in age from five to sixteen years old and are taught the Vietnamese national curriculum. Children also receive medical care and are able to participate in extracurricular activities including, sports, arts, music, dance and drama.
The main goal of the Sunshine School is to reintegrate children into full-time education. Once the children have graduated from the Sunshine School and wish to enroll into further education, they are eligible to apply for additional scholarship support through our Education Assistance Programme.
For older children who choose to pursue a career rather than continue studying, we support them with career advice, assistance with selecting a reputable vocational training school and funding for vocational training.
